Casa Rosa

Casa Rosa is situated in the Camino Cadiz de la Boyal, in Pago del Humo. This is about 4kms from Chiclana and about 7kms from the sea at the famous Barrosa Beach. This blue flag beach is one of the best in the world, stretching for miles a wide expanse of sand swept clean by the Atlantic twice a day.

As you can see from the map below the land at the bottom of the road is undeveloped. This will remain this way as the area is scheduled to be playing fields or an area of recreation.

Only homes of one storey are allowed in area road so you will never be over looked by a tall building.

Camino Cadiz has a proper made road with a tarmac finish.

Pago del Humo is a quaint village that has kept its character being mostly inhabited by Spanish people who live and work here. There has been an influx of British, German and other nationalities but not enough to spoil the reason that you would want to be here. In the Camino Cadiz there are 15 dwellings and 3 are occupied by Brits and one Croatian.

There is a Chiclana Foreign Residents Association, called Chifra for short. This is a great organization to help you intergrate and over come the normal day to day problems that occur when you move to a new country. I am a member and it is well worth it with many benefits other than the social side. Learn more at Learn more here

The village has many bars and two with good restaurants attached, Casa Blas (Venta Supresa) and the Florentina are my favorites. There is a mini market, fresh bread twice a days and a pharmacy, also a general iron mongers and hardware store. On the whole its a buzzing little community full of real people.

The total construction of the house and caseta is 127 m2 in a plot of 667 m2. There is a swimming pool of 4 x 7 m in a garden designed for lazy people. There is an outside dinning area, under cover and a wooden shaded Gazebo.

There is a long wide drive to the house. This could be blocked off and turned into a garden with the entrance coming from the other side. This was not possible when I moved here as there was not the access that there is now.

There is a well that feeds all the toilets for flushing but as the sodium content of the water is high I had a storage tank of 10,000 liters fitted to supply the showers, dishwasher, washing machine and taps. This water is of very high quality and is pumped through two solid block carbon filters to ensures its quality is maintained. This means you do not have to buy bottled water. a tank full of water costs 80 Euro delivered. It last about 6 weeks in the summer and about 8 in the winter when the swiming pool does not need toping up and the garden does not need watering

In side the main house there are three double bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes and the main bedroom has an on suite bathroom that has been made in to a wet room for ease of use.Two of the bedrooms have air conditioning.

There is another shower room with a large fitted cupboard, a bath could be put in here - I just prefer a shower.

There is a large storage cupboard in the hall.

There is an airconditioned lounge diner that has a wood burning stove for the winter. This is a sophisticated device and provides warm air heating as well.

There is a fitted kitchen with all mod cons and very nice thick marble surfaces.

The property has a caseta (guest house) its is 6.10m x 3.8m in size allowing a good size shower room with wash basin and wc and a sitting room with fold down bed. There is a Spanish TV and air conditioning. I find this an ideal place to put guests and it seems to be always occupied ( you become ever so popular with the folks back home when you get a place in Spain.

The house has broad band internet including telephone (free calls to UK) and I have an excellent mobile booster installed.

The house is to be sold fully furnished as I will live in a caravan whilst reovating my new home.

The homes in Camino Cadiz are within the approved Chiclana Urbanization Plan.
